Sapulpa’s Route 66 Christmas Chute Not Returning for 2025
If you were planning on visiting Sapulpa's Route 66 Christmas Chute this year, then you may want to adjust your holiday plans! Oklahoma's biggest holiday touring attraction won't be returning in 2025 due to construction.
The Route 66 Christmas Chute is housed on Dewey Street in downtown Sapulpa. Construction on the street began in the spring of this year to, according to the chute's official Facebook page, make the street a "more pedestrian-friendly downtown experience."
Sapulpa is still encouraging tourists to visit during the holiday season.
Throughout the year, Sapulpa Main Street and the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce have been hosting Construction Crawls to help support the businesses that are on Dewey Street as they continue to remain open during the construction.
But one of the town's biggest tourist draws for local businesses still won't be going on in 2025 due the construction. However, Sapulpa is still encouraging tourists to continue to visit downtown and enjoy the other holiday festivities, which are set to be announced soon.

According to the Sapulpa's Route 66 Christmas Chute official Facebook page, the construction in downtown is nearly complete and the Christmas Chute is expected to return for the holiday season in 2026.
The town is already in preparation for the return of the Christmas Chute in 2026 and are looking to "reimagine" the iconic holiday attraction.
